O Melhor de Clube Miragens, the third album by WE SEA, reached the public in September 2025 under the Marca Pistola label. The album is available across all digital platforms, including Spotify, Tidal, YouTube, and Apple Music.

This new work follows their debut album, Basbaque (2019), and Cisma (2021), solidifying the sonic identity of the Azorean trio formed by Clemente Almeida (bass, synthesizers), Rui Rofino (vocals), and Rómulo San-Bento (guitar).

O Melhor de Clube Miragens is born from a mythical space: Clube Miragens, a legendary bar that exists simultaneously in the band’s memory and imagination. It is a setting somewhere between the dreams of WE SEA and a collective imaginary that believes some revolutions only happen on the dance floor.

The record gathers versions of the tracks that made up the final playlists of the resident DJ at Clube Miragens, preserving the parable of this allegorical bar in Monte Escuro, moments before it flew too close to the sun. It is a space of memories—at times historical, at others mythologized—of iconic venues like Frágil in Lisbon or Cheers in São Miguel. It serves as a tribute to remember two things: first, that maintaining a cultural oasis in the middle of a desert is no easy task; and second, that a place selling hedonism as an appetizer eventually succumbs to the same Icarus Syndrome as so many others.

Across ten tracks, the new album dives into Azorean urban popular music, blending it with pop and indie influences. The result is a natural bridge between generations and geographies. The album also features a special appearance by Zeca Medeiros, a leading figure in Azorean culture and a fundamental reference in the band’s identity formation.

WE SEA are the result of experiences sprouting from an island planted in the middle of the Atlantic. São Miguel is their port of departure—the world, inevitably, their arrival. From a gathering of friends, a unique language is born, built on unfolding guitars, sweet melodies, and an aesthetic that breathes between indie, pop, and Azorean urban folk.

Despite being rooted in the land and sea that raised them, WE SEA’s music reveals itself as cosmopolitan, conscious of its time, and firmly anchored in the contemporary. There is an insularity that leaves its mark, but also the ambition of those who know their geography is merely the point where the journey begins.

The band carries influences that have accompanied their path—names like Zeca Medeiros, Luís Gil Bettencourt, or Susana Coelho—transforming this heritage into a contemporary manifesto that continues to write the musical history of the Azores.
