TERRAKOTA

They're back… It's true, We swear!
Terrakota returns to the stage in 2026.
The Lisbon band that turns the map of the world upside down at every concert and takes the audience on a high-speed transcontinental train ride is back — for pleasure, for nostalgia, and for the urgency to feel music as it should be felt: live, in community, without filters.
The journey continues from Africa, a point of departure and return, following the routes of the African diaspora and absorbing the extraordinary musical diversity that these journeys have sown around the world. From the intersections between continents, cultures, and rhythms is born, once again, the sonic melting pot that has always defined Terrakota.
In 17 years of an intense career, they have released 6 albums, performed around 700 concerts, traveled thousands of kilometers, experienced landscapes, hugs, and unforgettable moments of communion. The energy returned by the audience on every stage has shaped the spirit of the band: a space where the boundary between those who play and those who dance dissolves into a vibration dissolve into a free, happy, and collective vibration.
In a world increasingly marked by artificial barriers — social, political, and economic — the Terrakota return to dance and sing against the egocentric madness of the present, for the freedom of peoples and all living things, contributing, in their own way, to reinvent a more natural, conscious, and human way of BEING.
Their fusion of reggae influences, Sahel sounds, Mandinga music, Wassolou, Chimurenga sound, Arabic music, Afro-Cuban rhythms, or soukous requires the use of a wide variety of instruments from different parts of the globe — from congas to djembe or didgeridoo, in addition to the usual bass, guitar, and drums.
In 2026, the Reggae, ska, rocksteady, World Music train sets off again.
All aboard for the return 7 years later… and after having been at Maré in 2018!!!
