Originally from the bohemian Lisbon neighborhood that gives them their name, Cais Sodré Funk Connection brings back the sound and atmosphere of the legendary Motown, Stax, and Chess Records labels, recreating the soul of funk and soul from the 60s and 70s with the infectious energy of a true party.

The experience of this collective of Portuguese music veterans, which includes members from Cool Hipnoise, Orelha Negra, Mr. Lizard, Cacique 97, and Sérgio Godinho's band, brings the wisdom and know-how needed to create a truly contagious groove.

Following the success of “Mau Perder”, “Tem de Ser”, and “Vou Viver”, critically acclaimed lead singles, Cais Sodré Funk Connection released in September 2025 a new album, “Um Quarto Na Rua Cor de Rosa”, composed of previously unreleased tracks in Portuguese, while never giving up the funk & soul identity that defines their journey.
