It is a super group formed by Ivo Costa (Sara Tavares), Quim Albergaria (from band “Paus”) and Riot (ex-Buraka Som Sistema).
In addition to being an unlikely band, which brings together drums and computers, Bateu Matou are also a triple of producers who bring a percussive approach, fusing lessons from the contemporary and the roots, to collaborate with some of the most inspiring voices in Portugal. In 2021 they released their debut album "CHEGOU" and since then the band has added hits and participations on the biggest stages in the country.
Theirs is the official anthem of Liga Portugal "Não Pára", the song that is heard in all stadiums, in all league games. At the beginning of 2024 an unexpected collaboration arrives, Rão Kyao, participates in "cadax+perto" a song built on "Bombaião" a hit from the 80s. The album BATEDEIRA came out on March 22nd and also includes the already known "Cara Feia" and "Fala Bué".
