Coming directly from the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Kin'Gongolo Kiniata come to the Azores for the first time.
With frenetic energy, this group will bring to the night of August 23rd an impressive arsenal of instruments ingeniously assembled from plastic bottles, metal objects and discarded household items.
The result is highly experimental Afropop, which combines the energy of punk with electronically generated Congolese rhythms and lyrics, sung in Lingala, one of the most spoken languages in DRCongo.
With themes that focus on hope and perseverance, Kin’Gongolo Kiniata will light up the venue with true Sounds of the MARÉ!
